This ring is called 78°North, as the latitude of Longyearbyen, the settlement where Capucine stayed in when she went to Svalbard in 2019.
The small details come from an observation and an analysis of snowflakes under electronic microscope, this is why there are geometric and shredded forms, with multiple superimposed levels like strata. To capture the essence of the snow crystals, some parts are striated, some are mirror polished.
